In these combinations one or other of the so-calledbasal temperaments predominates, and a compound termis used to express the complexity, as, for instance, thenervo-bilious, signifying that the bilious base, the founda-tion of temperament, is qualified by an admixture of thenervous element, and so throughout the series. The value of a practical application of the study oftemperament in the practice of dentistry is apparent. Thatthe relation of the teeth to temperament is, as a rule, ignored 1 si-:lI:criox and aukancmcment of teeth. 33.
