London, UK. 24 January 2015. Thousands of peace campaigners took part in the Wrap Up Trident protest organised by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmarment in Whitehall. They encircled government and parliament buildings with a pink peace scarf knitted by thousands of people from all over the world. After the 2015 General Elections, MPs will have to make a final decision on replacing the Trident - the UK's Cold War nuclear weapons system. This could cost £100 billion and would lead to more cuts being made to housing, the NHS and education. Photo: Nick Savage/Alamy Live News
