Shiwan meiping vase copying Jun ware, Ming dynasty, China, 1368-1644. A meiping vase with a slender ovoid body, short constricted neck and thick projecting mouth rim. The vase is covered with a thick white streaky blue glaze in imitation of Jun ware of the Song dynasty. The base is covered with a colourless slip revealing the dark brown body.
