Comb Ridge is an 80-mile-long monocline, a remnant of the Monument Upwarp, in southern Utah.
Comb Ridge is a 100+ mile-long remnant of the Monument Upwarp in southern Utah. Navajo sandstone covers the softer layers of rock underneath, which have weathered away on the other side of this ridge where the Navajo cap was broken up by bulging. The Abajo mountains, which are laccoliths, are in the distance.
