Anchor recoveded from the Cunard WWI wreck of SS Feltria in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, Ireland (Eire).


Inscription: This Admiralty type anchor was recovered from the World War One wreck of the Cunard ship the SS Feltria. The 5254 ton Feltria was torpedoed and sunk by German submarine UC48 on the 5th May 1917 while on route with general cargo and government stores from New York to Avonmouth with a loss of 45 lives including her master Captain WG Price. The wreck now lies 14 miles SE of Helvick Head."
