Unimog used by the "fire service", Britain UK
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service have just taken delivery of a brand new Unimog all terain vehicle the only one of its type in the UK to deal with heath fires and flooding incidents in the county The extreme terrain Mercedes Benz Unimog available with an extra protection system that allows the vehicle to continue operating even in the most hazardous fire environments Vital components and operations can be protected by a series of panels packaging and casing with the emphasis on protecting the driver and passengers as well as the vehicle The new protection system enhances the Unimog s ability to cross the most difficult terrain and now means it is able to play an increased role in such incidents as forest and moorland fires and disaster control
