Three carved stone marble Roman heads dating from 2nd - 4th century AD, heads on display in Side Museum, Antalya Province, Turkey (Turkiye). The central head is a representation of the god Apollo, while the two heads in the rear are of different Roman emperors. Apollo was associated with music, poetry, prophecy, and healing. The museum, housed in the Roman city's Great Baths, opened in 1962 and contains finds discovered by Arif Müfid Mansel, one of the pioneers of Turkish archeology, during his excavations in the Ancient City of Side. Side is a popular cultural and tourism destination.
