Bevagna main square with the Consoli palace and San Silvestro church, Perugia county, Umbria region, Italy
The romantic scenery offered by Silvestri square, on the old little town of Bevagna, is certainly one of the most famous in Italy. The place is considered one of the most beautiful squares in the world. Here we can see the Palace of Consuls, built in sec. XIII, with two series of double lancet windows on a cruise lodge. Near the palace there's the romanic church of San Silvestro, built in late sec. XII by a project of Binello architect. The simpleness of the uncompleted stone facade, attract the eyes on the elegant three-arc window and on the frets of the romanic porch.
