Description: The forest conquered the summit of the Hartmannswillerkopf (the Vieil Armand 936) by the French Alpijnsche Hunters in February-March 1915 and has since maintained by them notwithstanding furious attacks of the Germans, who again suffered a big defeat (end december 1915), has been destroyed by the artillery altogether.
