King Kamehaeha III Summer Palace, Hawaii sacred ruins

This ruin is the summer palace of King Kamehameha II and his Queen, where many Hawaiian ceremonies were held in the 1800's. Built in 1845 before the occupation of white Americans, the King held many celebrations here. It is now considered sacred ground as there are heiaus located here. Nestled now deep in the bamboo forest, it is off limits to most visitors. Only the Hawaiians on Oahu know of its location.
