GB - DEVON: English Riviera Wheel at Torquay
At 60 metres high the Big Wheel (English Riviera Wheel) on Torquay's seafront is taller than Nelson's Column. This great attraction has come to the Torquay straight from the London Olympic Park where it was at the centre of the celebrations next to the olympic village. The wheel has 40 enclosed and lit gondolas, weighs in at 365 tons and it has become one of Torquay's most loved features offering unsurpassed views over the harbour, the town and all of Torbay.
