River pollution clean-up. Voluntary workers on a barge being used as part of a project to remove waste and debris from the River Seine, France. The volunteers have been organised by OSE (Organe de Sauvetage Ecologique, Ecological Rescue Organisation), and are working with SIAAP, an interdepartmental syndicate for cleaning Paris and its suburbs. Photographed on 5 June 2005, near the town of Vigneux-sur-Seine. This region had become one of the most polluted areas of the river.
