Scheemaker's statue of the Dying Gladiator sits beside an avenue of mature Oak trees at Rousham House, Oxfordshire, England

Scheemaker's statue of the Dying Gladiator sits upon a stone plinth covered with licens overlooking the lush parkland of Rousham House displaying the early colours of autumn, in Oxfordshire. The grounds of Rousham are an early example of English landscape design by William Kent (1685-1748) and remain much as he left them.
