Round-eared elephant shrew (Macroscelides proboscideus). Elephant shrews, or sengis, are small insectivorous mammals that live in Africa. They have long mobile noses with which they sniff out their prey of worms, insects and other small invertebrates. M. proboscideus measures about 12 centimetres in length. Photographed in Kagga Kamma Reserve in South Africa.
