Intracranial CT Angiogram
This image was obtained from an intracranial CT angiogram. This technique uses the technology of spiral CT in association with a rapid bolus injection of intravenous contrast which opacifies the blood vessels. This is a good minimally invasive (because contrast is injected) technique to look for aneurysms, areas of stenosis (narrowing), vascular malformations and other intracranial vascular disease.
