South Americais stated to be a large consumer of quills, butFrance is not a large consumer of Cinnamon, andAustria, Belgium, Denmark and Egypt are onlysmall direct importers. It is generally supposed that the Cinnamontree is cultivated only in Ceylon, but Watt says it is also to be met with in the forests ofTenasserim, and is experimentally cultivated inSouth India. For the winter,October 13 to the last day of February, theshort, curved cards are used. The top grooveaccommodates these.
