The Lesser Kudu, Tsavo National Park, Kenya, East Africa.

Lesser Kudu; Tragelaphus imberbis. The lesser kudu is a forest antelope and is considered to be endangered. The lesser kudu is both diurnal and nocturnal. Kudu are gregarious and are most commonly seen in small groups of four to six cows and calves. There are separate bachelor herds of up to five males. They have excellent hearing and can be very secretive. When alarmed they make off with their tail folded over their back to show a white underside for other members of the heard to follow.
