Abingdon claims to be the oldest town in England. Here we are on its medieval bridge over the Thames, looking north towards Abingdon Museum and the town centre. Here we see it commemorating a special occasion, the coronation of King Charles III. Months after the event, we can still see coronation flags flying mounted on an old-fashioned Victorian lantern, together with annual floral displays.
