The Grandiflora Splendens is generally admitted to be the brightest colored and most effective of all the Large Flowered Phloxes. This sort combines all the good qualities of the grandiflora section, with the addition of a clearly defined pure white star which con- trasts strikingly with the vivid crimson of the flowers.
