Hope is the title of Frances May Favata’s large stone sculpture at the University of Plymouth. A child is depicted being raised to the sky as a symbol of hope for the future. Hope is beside the Portland Square Building and the site where an underground bomb shelter was hit on the night 22 to 23 April 1941 in WW2. 76 civilians died.
