The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, chairs the board of directors of the Partido Popular de Madrid, at the regional headquarters of the PP in Calle Génova, in Madrid. The PP of Madrid won absolute majorities on May 28th in the regional and municipal elections. In the Assembly, the PP led by Isabel Díaz Ayuso won 71 seats, improving those obtained in 2023. For its part, the mayor has gone from 15 councilors in 2019 to 29 in these elections. These results return the formation to 2011, the last time it governed with an absolute majority in the two institutions.
