Gdynia, poland 16th, Sept. 2016 3 NATO SNMG-1 frigates - Spanish ESPS Mendez Nunez (pictured), Portugese NRP Alvares Cabral and German FGS Ludwigshafen visit port of Gdynia. The visit has a working character, in order to replenish and rest the crews of ships. SNMG-1 is one of two permanent NATO marine teams, which include selected destroyers and frigates of the Member States. The skeleton team are ships from the US, Canada, UK, Germany and the Netherlands, which periodically joined by ships from Belgium, Denmark, Portugal, Spain and Poland. SNMG-1 conducts exercises with ships of naval forces of NATO member states and Partnership for Peace.
