Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko is around by 4 kilometres, consisting of two lobes connected by a 'neck' region. The regions are named after deities from Ancient Egypt, such as Anubis, Seth, Atum, Hapi, Anuket, Babi, Ash, Ma'at, Serqet and Maftet. The European Space Agency's Rosetta spacecraft was launched in March 2004 and entered orbit around the comet on 6 August 2014. It carried instruments and a lander to map and study the comet's surface and core. This image was published in July 2015.
