Proboscis fully developed ; palpi upturned, the 2nd joint reaching vertex of head and moderately fringed with scales in front, the 3rd moderate, porrect; frons smooth, with tult of hair ; eyes large, round ; antennie of male ciliated ; thorax cJothed chiefly with scales and without crests; build slender; tibiae moderately fringed with hair ; abdomen with dorsal crest at base only. Fore wing with the apex somewhat produced and acute, the termen obliquely curved and not crenulate ; veins 3 and 5 from near angle of cell; 6 from upper angle ; 9 from 10 anastomosing with 8 to form the areole ; 11 from cell.
