Maiden's blush moth


The maiden's blush moth (Cyclophora punctaria) is a member of the family Geometridae. There are two generations with the first being May to June and a second in August. This species occurs in oak woodlands and is found across Europe extending as far east as Iran. The larvae feed on the leaves of Oak. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in July.
