Windmill Point, orPoint Pcmberton, with its great modern hotel, tips the whole; andaround this point sweep the fleet, the puffing steamers, and anon thefishers boats, rendering the scene always animated, and continuallyrenewing its features. In summer time this beach for its entire length is constantly alive,not alone with the tourists and visitors who make short pilgrimages to. its sands, but with dwellers and campers who establish headquartershere, and pass the whole season among its delights. So near the cityis it that one may ensconce himself in any of the great hotels forwhich Boston is famous, and still spend two-thirds of the time in theNantasket neighborhood, the evenings being if anything even moreinteresting than the days in this locality. But the local hotels andprivate establis hments of the place afford every imaginable facility andaccommodation for sojourners, and congenial company, as well as themost varied entertainment, is sure to be met with on all sides. Next to the sanitary advantages, a principal element in the make-upof the Nantasket region as a summering-place is found in its glorious 24 outlooks.
