Osun Osogbo Ornamentation: The hennae process.
Osun worshippers, both devotees and priestess, add glitters to the panorama of the Osun Day with the ornamentation of their bodies. From the crowns of their head to the sole of their feet, they are walking models with unique hairstyles decorated with various items of ornamentation– feather, metals, cowries, beads, multi-coloured threads–their necks graced with rich, colourful necklaces, hands decked in gold rings and bracelets and their intricately-hennaed feet adorned with fanciful anklets. An Osun priestess is a sight.
