Historic cabin water wheel Big Springs Idaho river. Big Springs is a large spring located in Island Park, Idaho. The spring produces over 120 million gallons of water each day. It is a primary source of the North Fork or Henrys Fork, and is famous for its large trout. In 1929, Johnny Sack leased a small tract of land from the United States Forest Service for $ a year and built his log cabin at Big Springs.
