Frank Edgar, of Waverley, has a splendid lot of winter-flowering plants in his greenhouses, including cyclamens, ])rimulas, begonias, carried-over azaleas and poinsettias. He is cutting good Golden Glow mums and has a fine lot of late varieties. The Budlong Rose Co. now receives from 8,000 to 12,000 flowers daily, of the usual high (piality. Wards, with 18-inch to 24-inch stems, are note- worthy; also Francis Scott Key, Milady, Double Wiiite Killarney, 0])helia and Shawyer. Of the newer sorts, Sunrise is j)r<)inising. Montrose is coming well, also Prima Donna, and Mrs. Hearst is extra fine. No chrysanthemums are being grown this season. Andrew (Miristensen, of Stoneham, is marketing a fine lot of carnations. His liouses look excei)ti()nally well. Spe- cially fine are Matchless, Pink Delight, Nancy and Benora, not forgetting the old (^ueen. Adol])h E. E. Koch, of Nobscot, has been enjoying his vacation touring through Massachusetts in his Overland car. He is sending in good l)at(']ies of Mrs. Sander marguerites, in wliich he specializes, and asters.
