Gaziantep, Turkey. 14 April 2022. Omran Al-Hamad, a child severely injured during the war in Syria, receive physiotherapy in a EU-supported health centre in the southern Turkish city of Gaziantep. Omran lost his leg and 40% of his hearing during a 2014 aerial bombardment on the city of Palmyra, during which his four brothers were also injured. Omran is one of the many Syrian children who require constant medical and psychological support as they grow up with major war-related injuries and traumas
