The ^vers have a great depth and substance and are of fine globular form, vnth broad, thick petals and la fge, finely-shaped buds. The cclor is a bright carmine at the edge of petals, sotn graduating into hght rose and becoming lost in the pale yellow of the center. A bright and showy Eose of the Tulip section, very highly colored, and blooming -without cessation. It would be difficult to imagine a more lovely Rose. .SiSiSLSJLSiSLSiSLSJiSiSiSiSiSLSJ^^ GOLDEN GATE. This magnificent Kose is the result of a cross between those old and greatly admired varieties, Safrano and CorneUa Cook, and while combining the good qualities of both, is vastly more beautiful than either. The flowers are extra large, very full and finely formed, and of excellent substance; the buds are long and of the most desirable form; the color is a rich creamy-white, beautifully tinged \vith fine golden-yellow. The petals are large and broad, and exquisitely bordored and tinted with clear rose, making altogether a Rose of the rarest and most indescribable beauty. The Golden Gate is a strong, healthy grower, and a most profuse and continuous LETTIE COLES Large, sweet and handsome Rose, with freat, large, deap, dou- le, sweet-scented flow- ers that look more like a Hybrid Perpetual than a Tea Rose. This va- riety is justly regarded as one of the very finest Roses in cultivation. The flowers are big, full and globular in form, very double, and are produced in wonderful profusion on stiff stems.
