We lived in the upper floor where we had a room and kitchen. My parents had lived in The house since the end of the 1920s and the first years they lived in the lower floor. When the Bergström family who lived upstairs moved sometime in the 30s, my parents had to move up. When I lived in the house there was a young family in the lower the floor. They had two children, one of whom were newborn. Their apartment was dark and humid and certainly not very healthy according to today's requirements. This yard was rebuilt with dug and wood and bicycle stalls. We had wood stove in the kitchen and tiled stove in the room. Strange enough I have no memories that I ever froze. Also remember that the street outside was cobbled and I can still remember how it sounded when horse carts drove outside. Incidentally have many photos from the yard and hu set".
