Recruits with Echo Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, sprint 880 meters during a combat fitness test at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, March 23. The three parts of the event consist of an 880-meter sprint, ammunition can lifts, and the maneuver under fire. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Echo Company is scheduled to graduate May 11.
