A pedestrian footbridge leading to the Ashenden Block of the Heygate Estate, Elephant and Castle, Walworth, South London

The Heygate Estate at Elephant and Castle in South London was completed in 1974. Over time it gained a reputation for dilapidation, crime and poverty and the tenants have now been rehoused prior to demolition of the flats and redevelopment of the area as part of the £ billion redevelopment of the whole of Elephant and Castle.
