The New Zealand goverument life iusur-ance departiiieut (according to the New Zea-land Insui-auoe Joui-nal) now oilers a doubleendowment policy, explained as follows: The policy must mature at an age not laterthan 65, and with this condition the term maybe made either 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 or 35 years,according to the choice of the proposer. Incase of death during the, term the sum as-sm-ed (with ) will be paid to the rep-resentatives; but if the policyholder survivethe full term he will be paid double theoriginal sum assured, together with full, bon-uses. The premiums are the same for all agesfrom 15 to 55; oyer this age special rates willbe quoted if desired. this policy will be compelled to furnish it, andthey will be accused of borrowing the produc-tion of the brains of
