Logo of the Hebridean Mink Project on side of a vehicle on island of Harris in the Outer Hebrides. DETAILS IN DESCRIPTION.

The aim of the Hebridean Mink Project is to totally eradicate American mink from the Outer Hebrides in order to safeguard the population of ground-nesting birds. The project started in 2001 in response to damage caused by feral mink in the Western Isles. It originally concentrated on removing mink from North & South Uist and Benbecula, and then moved to South Harris.
