Vacant retail space in the Essex Street Market in the Lower East Side in New York is used for customer seating on Saturday, May 30, 2015. Built in 1940 to remove pushcarts off of the streets, the 75 year old market is scheduled to be moved to the Essex Crossing Development across Delancey Street and the current market is be demolished.
