Voelker Orth Museum, Murray Hill, Flushing, Queens, New York

Printer and German immigrant Conrad Voelker (ca. 1862–1930) bought this house in 1899. He lived here with his wife, the former Elizabeth Maibach (d. 1919). Following his death, his daughter Theresa (ca. 1898–1992) lived here with her husband Dr. Rudolph Orth. Their daughter, Elizabetha (1926–95), established the present museum, bird sanctuary and Victorian garden in her will.
