A Lorenzoni breech loading system flintlock rifle, Emanuel Wetschgin, Augsburg, circa 1720. Octagonal barrel becoming round with a seven groove rifled bore in 9 mm calibre. Dovetailed brass front sight. Smooth brass frame with the (worn) signature, "EMANUEL WETSCHGI AUGUSTA" on top. Iron flintlock. Loading lever on the left side. Later walnut stock (without the loading opening for powder and shot) with a patchbox and a container beneath the butt stock. Brass butt plate and replacement trigger guard. Lock mechanism intact.
