The male hypopygium is as shown inFigure 40, the strong appendiculate thorn above middle of each .clasperbeing very different from the two small thorns present in process at middle of each clasper (Fig. 40,) is more like that ofobumbratilis than that of penitalis. In the specimens before me the sub-marginal line in fore wings is less distinctly dentate posteriorly than inany of the other three species (Fig. 39, a).
