SPONDYLOSIS, DRAWING
Spondylosis of the lumbar vertebrae (lumbarthrosis), with diskarthrosis, herniated disk and facet arthrosis. Spondylosis is a non-inflammatory degenerescence (arthrosis) of the vertebral columnn. It can be accompagnied, as shown here, of diskarthrosis (arthrosis of intervertebral disks), of facet arthrosis (arthrosis of the vertebral apophyses), of formation of osteophytes (or parrot beak, bone excrescences) and of a compression of the spinal cord or the nerve roots.
