Zenshoji Temple is a historic temple built during the Azuchi-Momoyama period. As soon as you enter the gate, the dry landscape garden comes into view. Although the garden is not a tourist temple, it is well front garden of the Shoin is named “Shakyamuni and the Ten Great Disciples” assuming that it was made up of 11 stones. Since there are 11 stones around this pruning, the standing stone made of blue stone may be the Buddha, surrounded by 10 disciples. Three rocky islands are set on the white sand with sand ripples. One of Zenshoji's gardens that is often overlooked is the narrow space on the north side of the main hall with a standing stone that is thought to resemble Mt. Horai.
