HONOLULU — Telepharoah Brandon, a member of Sewa Faré, a West African Dance and Drum group, marches in the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Parade in Waikiki, Jan. 16, 2017. Brandon holds a Samoan fireknife practice staff and wears a dashiki to represent African, American and Polynesian unity. The parade, which ran from Magic Island at Ala Moana Beach Park to Kapiolani Park, included a unity rally. Attendees at the rally partook in food and entertainment at Kapiolani Park.
