A magnificent Russian hunting sword,middle of the 18th century Heavy chopping blade shaped like a yatagan with a broad T-shaped back,and fine decorative etchings of the moon,sun,and a Turk's head on its upper third amid martial trophies and garlands. The base of the blade bears remnants of gilding. Splendidly worked,richly profiled hilt of fire-gilded bronze. Guard plate with rocaille decoration. One quillon in the shape of an eagle's head.
