Aerial view of a 1980 3L Ford Capri Race Car, owned by John and Charles Brown, in the Pit Lane, at the Silverstone Classic Media Day 2019
x-Fabergé Racing, Stuart Graham car with BSCC (BTCC) and European race history. Built for the 1978 season by a team led by Ted Grace. Following its 1978 and '79 success in the British Saloon Car Championship with Stuart Graham, the car was sold to Mr Wayne Wainwright who ran it under the Carroll Shelby team in BSCC. Subsequently sold to well-known and very competent saloon racer Terry Nicholls, the car was widened to accept larger wheels and a Cologne GAA engine - and entered into the Thundersaloon Champioship. Following Terry's success with the car, it went to France and continued to race in the European historic scene, now running in 'Gulf' colours. After coming back to the UK in recent years, the car was purchased in 2016 by a well-known historic racer and restored back to exact BSCC Group 1 specification by the best in the business, Ric Wood. The current owner has only used the car once at Donington, and it is completely fresh and race-ready. Race-ready and perfect for Motor Racing Legends HTCC, Peter Auto HTC and of course the high-profile Gerry Marshall Trophy at the Goodwood Members' Meeting.
