A Flemish/North German Walloon sword, circa 1630 Single-edged blade with double fullers on both sides and double-edged point. The fullers stamped with signature "IOHANNES MEIGEN - ME FECIT SOLINGEN". Characteristic hilt with pierced guard plates, thumb ring and S-shaped quillons. Heart-shaped pommel with (later) iron wire grip and Turk's heads. Length 100 cm.
