Roman temple, virtual reality display. Virtual human exploring a 3D computer model of the ruins of the Nymphaeum of Egeria, in Caffarella Park, Rome, Italy. This structure dates to the 2nd century, and consists of a natural grotto that was decorated and dedicated to the water nymph Egaria. The area was landscaped, and a spring provided water for a lake. A statue of Egaria was placed in the alcove at the far end of the grotto. This computer model was created by the Laboratory for the Virtual Heritage of Rome.
