. Army Service Corps Lt Col Evans was born in 1872 and received a commission on 20 May 1893. He transferred to the Army Service Corps in 1896 and was promoted to lieutenant colonel in August 1915. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order on 30 June 1918 and continued to serve with the Army until 1920.
