A black and white photograph captured by Pvt. Gibbon on November 20, 1918, reveals the eastern edge of the Argonne seen from Hill No. 223. Located near Chatel Chehery in Ardennes, France, the image depicts a battleground where the remarkable acts of Corporal Alvin York occurred. York was later promoted to Sergeant. This photograph was released by the AEP censor, but the exact date is unknown.
