Replica of the Compiègne Wagon where the Armistice of 11 November 1918 that ended the First World War was signed on display in the Armistice Museum on the ground of the Glade of the Armistice in the Forest of Compiègne (Forêt de Compiègne) near Compiègne in France. The plaque marking the place where Marshal Ferdinand Foch sited is seen in the foreground. The original of the Compiègne Wagon was destroyed in fire in April 1945 during World War II.
